If you like to make short videos, the City of Minneapolis needs your help to educate and excite potential voters before this November’s city election. Minneapolis is holding a video contest, asking for video entries that help get out the vote, and educate people about ranked-choice voting, which voters will use Nov. 5.
The contest includes two categories:
Two winners will be chosen, one in each category. The winners will be featured on the City’s elections website and on a City cable channel. Entries must be received by Oct. 17, 2013.
The City is looking for non-partisan videos that convey the importance of voting and encourage people to vote. Creativity is encouraged, but examples of possible video topics include:
