Minneapolis Elections Director tapped to chair elections task force

Assistant City Clerk/Director of Elections Grace Wachlarowicz has been appointed to chair the League of Minnesota Cities Elections Task Force. The task force helps develop the league’s legislative platform.

Wachlarowicz, who heads the City’s Elections & Voter Services Division, was appointed to a two-year term as chair by league President Dave Osberg. The chair position will provide the City with opportunities to shape statewide policies about elections, including election administration, regulations and policies.

“This is a tremendous professional honor to Grace, and she should be justifiably proud of this recognition,” said Council Member Elizabeth Glidden, who is a member of the League of Minnesota Cities’ Board of Directors. “It recognizes the leadership demonstrated by the City’s Elections and Voter Services Division, under her direction, in election administration, election reform, voter outreach and engagement strategies, and more.”

The League of Minnesota Cities is an association dedicated to promoting excellence in local government. The league serves its more than 800 member cities through advocacy, education, training, policy development, risk management and other services.
