Health Care Facilities teams hit the road today

The Health Care Facilities (HCF) teams of election judges begin their work in the community today, taking ballots to qualified voters in long-term care and nursing home facilities in Minneapolis.

HCF judges work in teams of two, representing both major political parties, and visit a total of 21 healthcare facilities during the 21 days preceding the election. On the final Monday before Election Day, these judges will also visit local hospitals to assist hospitalized Minneapolis voters in casting their ballots.

The team is led by long-time seasonal staffer Mary Gorzycki, who begins her work each year several months in advance of the election to schedule times to visit each facility and plan the staffing required to provide this important service for Minneapolis voters.
