First of two campaign finance reports due, required by City Charter
Finance reports are filed with Hennepin County Elections Office
Aug. 1 – 15
Candidate filing opens Aug. 1 and closes Aug. 15 at 5 p.m.
Candidate filings are made with the Minneapolis Elections & Voter Services Division
Aug. 17
Deadline for candidate withdrawal by 5 p.m.
Aug. 18
2017 Municipal Ballot content finalized
Sep. 22 – Nov. 6
Absentee balloting period for General Election

Voter pre-registration period for the 2017 General Election closes at 5 p.m.

Extended hours for in-person early voting: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m

Oct. 30
Submit vote-by-mail (absentee) ballot today to ensure it is received in time for processing and is counted in final results
