Permanent Absentee Voter Application

Complete this application to receive a mail ballot for all future elections without needing to re-apply.

Before you begin

Since June 1, 2024, voters can apply to receive an absentee ballot for all future elections. Voters can join the permanent list by updating their voter registration at mnvotes.gov/register or by checking the box in the upper right when completing the absentee ballot application below.

Things to remember:

  • You can print the application or complete it electronically.
  • Download the application before typing in your information.
  • Remember to sign the form. We encourage you to sign by hand if possible.
  • We'll begin mailing ballots out when early voting begins before each election you are eligible to vote in.
  • Depending on where your ballot is being sent, please allow up to 7 days for it to arrive.
  • Once your ballot arrives, you'll need to return it to us by the required deadline.
