Permanent Absentee Voter Application

Complete this application to receive a mail ballot for all future elections without needing to re-apply.

Before you begin

Beginning June 1, 2024, voters can apply to receive an absentee ballot for all future elections. Previously, voters could only receive an absentee ballot application for each election. Those who were on the list to receive a ballot application will be automatically added to the list to receive a ballot.

Voters can join the permanent list by using the voter registration process at mnvotes.gov/register or by filling out the voter registration application below (check the box in the upper right).

Things to remember:

  • You can print the application or complete it electronically.
  • Download the application before typing in your information.
  • We'll begin mailing ballots out when early voting begins before each election you are eligible to vote in.
  • Depending on where your ballot is being sent, please allow up to 7 days for it to arrive.
  • Once your ballot arrives, you'll need to return it to us by the required deadline.
